Stamp: Honesty is a Policyby Quantization

DeviantArt Related / Deviant Stamps©2011-2015 Quantization
When someone says something you personally disagree with, they're always assholes.

No, I don't need to be rude when I'm trying to be honest, I simply find that people do not listen when you try to be respectful.

Discuss.

"When someone says something you personally disagree with, they're always assholes."

Or you're taken for a fucking troll. That pisses me off the most. You say the truth, and you get "Stupid troll, haters gonna hate." for a reply. Gah.

The joke here is that you support assholes like her. Do you get it? Because she was being a asshole to me.

If I didn't support her, why would I be engaged to marry her?

To be completely honest with you, I do not get the "joke" you're trying to convey. Could you attempt to explain it in terms that someone who is not mentally handicapped or personally biased against someone else could understand?

The joke is that she is an asshole and you support her.
The reason why I say that is because she was very mean too me. Sorry if I can't make sense too you.

Love that song. Is that the voice actor who played Diego in the Disney's Ice-Age series?

While honesty can come easier in assholishness, good manners work better sometimes.

That said, thank you kindly.

Yes.
But honest people can still be honest and use tact. A lot of people go around being rude and call it "honesty." They need to grow up and learn how to say things without being offensive.
That said, there's a lot of people who will get angry regardless of how civil and respectful you are.

I support maturity and respect!

I've been blocked by alot of people, by just being brutally honest. If being honest makes me a asshole then so be it.

I pride myself on being brutally honest on the internet. Therefore, I'm seen as an asshole. Do I mind? Naw. I don't sugar-coat things.

That's not always the case, Quant. It will depend on the person you're speaking with. Personally, I find being civil and respectful always has better results, and trolls hate nothing more then a polite target that never lets his/her panties get in a bunch.

Also, sometimes not saying anything rather then being rude or adding to a situation that's already inflamed is a good call. There are times I find myself deciding not to add to something I know will only cause more drama, or I take it to someone whose authority and opinion is respected and will help to diffuse a situation that may have further gotten out of hand if I had added to it.

I'm only an ass when people don't listen to me the first time...
though I always try to be nice and honest... I can't help that I refuse to listen after I see you're blatantly not listening to me.

Gawd, there's nothing worse then the 'respect my opinion but go fuck yourself for yours' sort of person, the kind that expect you to listen to theirs but get all asshurt when it's your turn to speak.

Actually, I've met a few who honestly acted this way quite some time ago here on dA. I had uploaded a stamp that had a rather controversial opinion and several thought that their opinions somehow put them above others and expected everyone to agree. It was rather silly and did nothing more then stroke their own egos.

yeah, I seen someone like that as well... science freak. And every time I saw a new comment from him, I kept thinking 'does he not understand that science is a theory not proven?' Well, must have stroked his ego... oh well, I know better now.

That's because too many people equate opposing opinions with disrespect or an attack on them personally.

I find a lot of people who think that debating or arguing something means fighting, or that it's always negative, as though it were impossible to have a civil debate without resorting to name calling, petty insults and such.

I also hate how people will accuse you of trolling if you disagree with them. "/ This irritates me to no end.
